I’ve finally done it. Finished this semester- finals in (and hopefully well received grade-wise.), moved out, and almost done with work at The Awful Waffle until Julyish. Congratulations everyone! BYU readers: I’m sorry I said you sucked. While somewhat true at the time, it was uncalled for. Anyway, this past week was NUTS! I had the weirdest schedule of Provo commutes, finals, and work. These pictures are a documentation of the week.
Monday, I did some training at The Waffle (Caitlin is practically a crepe making pro! Thanks to yours truly.) Tuesday, I had a early morning final and then enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Guru’s with Katelyn. Afterward, we walked down Center Street and admired all our favorite houses. Seriously, house envy. Why can’t I have a gorgeous house too?! WHYYYYY?
Tuesday evening Martha Mae and I went up to my parents house for a sleep over. “SLEEP OVER!” We played some Hand-and-Foot with Grandma and fell asleep two minutes into Downton Abbey. It was magnificent. In the morning we hit up Oquirrh Mountain Temple (they have laundry shutes- WHAT?!) and got lunch- for freeeee- with my Mama and Grandma. After a wonderful meal we headed down to City Creek Mall in Salt Lake to shop for our boss’ baby gift. Did we go overboard? Perhaps. But you can’t just buy one baby outfit. You obviously have to buy three, and some saltwater sandals, and a book. Let’s be real. After all that shopping we were starving. So we enjoyed some Nordstrom’s Cafe. Classy as usual.
Thursday I had three, THREE, finals. Ridiculous. That night we had a work party/baby shower and it was bomb. We stayed entirely too late and I had a crazy drive up to Salt Lake. But well worth it. Today, I got to sleep in for the first time in what seems like forever- my bed at home is way too comfortable. Then I had to say good-bye to Moo. There was a lot of water… leaking… from my eyes? I don’t know. It’s whatever. I cried, okay?! 4 months is too long away from that girl. She’s just the sweetest. Now, I’m watching Tangled. Mostly for that one song when they let go of the lantern things? Why is it so good? Also, why don’t her parents ever speak? Is it more profound? Or just creepy? I can’t tell.
Well that’s it! Tomorrow is my last day at The Waffle for a few months! Is is wrong to be kinda sad Summer is beginning? It’s seperating me and my friends, family, and my job that I love. It’ll all be worth it for the weather in San Diego, right?
